For years, I lived in and out of doctors’ offices, searching for answers to my gut health issues. I was constantly told to “reduce stress,” but no one ever showed me how. As a single mom running a business and working 50–60 hours a week, I was stuck in a cycle of trying every new health trend, only to end up back where I started.
In 2015, the universe decided it was time for me to stop. Instead of another roadblock, she sent me to the hospital and forced me to listen. That moment changed everything.
By January 2016, I made a promise to take my life back, starting with one simple act — moving my body every day. From there, I learned to cook real, nourishing food and began studying holistic health. Over the years, that commitment grew into multiple movement and holistic nutrition certifications, and eventually, degrees in Integrative Medicine, Ayurveda, and Regenerative Agriculture.
It took time, but in 2018, I found the key to my health and achieved remission from both Crohn’s disease and cervical cancer through living consciously and holistically. Now, at nearly 48, I’m full of energy, hiking mountains, and living with more joy than ever. Last year in the summer of 2025 I hiked 500 miles along the Contenental Divide Trail across Montana!
I believe a body in motion stays in motion, and that caring for ourselves from the inside out is the foundation for everything. It doesn’t have to be complicated — it starts with choosing to live in alignment with how you want to feel.
